Ginga Tropical Show in Rio de Janeiro
In the city of Rio de Janeiro there are many natural beauties. Futhermore there are lots of shows as the Ginga Tropical concert. I have been in this show on February 2019 and I will let you know how was that.
The show has been around for 6 years and attracts tourists from all over the world! What makes its so special? The idea is to provide a trip for the culture of all the country.
Visitors can learn about Brazilian culture from north to south through music and dance.
Before you begin, everyone chooses a complimentary drink that can be caipirinha, lemonade or water.
Before the curtains open an artist of the show interacts with the audience in a samba tutorial. It is fun you should try!
When the curtains were opened incredible artists showed the best of all the country.
Dances like lambada stirred the audience. This musical rhythm was very popular in Brazil in the 1980s and 1990s.
From the North Region for example we watched the very traditional toada dance.
From the Midwest the country brazilian music.
They showed lots of dancings from northeast. Frevo is very popular in Carnival in Pernambuco state.
From the south they showed the boleadeira. It is a type of weapon that was used to hunt.
After seeing a little bit of all the country it is time to see what is popular in Rio de Janeiro. We had a demonstration of the presentations of the samba schools.
In the last act, everyone is invited to share the stage with the stars of the show!
Do you want to enjoy the show? It costs 220 reais however there are special rates for group bookings. Shows on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 9pm in Portuguese and English!
